Astra Papachristodoulou is an experimental poet and artist based in the UK. She is the author of several poetry pamphlets, including Stargazing (Guillemot Press, 2019) and Astropolis (Hesterglock Press, 2020). Her poetry has been translated in Spanish, Slovenian, Russian and Greek, and her visual work has been exhibited at the National Poetry Library and The Poetry Café amongst other London venues. She is the founder of Poem Atlas, an exhibition platform and publisher of visual poetry.

Literature Express Europe. Re:Writing a Myth

In 2000 more than a hundred poets from 43 European countries spent six weeks travelling across the continent – a working trip and reading tour through the whole of Europe. After all the upheavals and turmoil and the conflicts of the Nineties, it was also a journey of new beginnings. Now, twenty years on, poets who took part in the project as well as a younger generation of writers have been invited to write an essayistic, poetic reworking of the myth of the “Rape of Europa”.
