Grug Muse, born in 1993, is a poet and essayist from Gwynedd, North Wales. She won the Urdd youth Chair for Poetry in 2013, and has since published her first collection “Ar Ddisberod” (Cyhoeddiadau Barddas, 2017), and her most recent collection, “Merch y Llyn”, is forthcoming this summer. In 2020, she was awarded a writer’s bursary from Literature Wales to work on her first non-fiction book and was a Ulysses Shelter Resident in the same year. She is also interested in translation and was invited to take part in the Latvian Literature translation workshop in 2019 and winning the Pen Cymru Her Gyfieithu Translation challenge in 2020. From 2018 to 2019, she was also a resident on the Writers at Work programme at the Hay Festival.
