Karin Fellner

Karin Fellner was born in 1970 in Munich, where she still lives. She studied Psychology and Literature and works as a writer and publisher’s reader. As a writing coach she has been advising writers since 1999 and leads among other things courses for the Lyrik Kabinett and the Munich Literaturhaus. For her literary work she has been awarded the 2005 Promotion Prize in the Leonce-und-Lena competition in Darmstadt, the 2006 Promotion Prize for Poetry at the International Lake Constance Conference, the 2008 Bavarian Art Promotion Prize in the Category Literature, the 2012 Media Prize (RAI Sender Bozen) for the Meran Poetry Prize, a work scholarship for literature from the Free State of Bavaria in 2018 and the Christian Ferber Honorary Award of the German Schiller >Foundation in 2021.
