Sophie Stroux was born in Munich in 1995. She moved to Münster for her Master’s course in Cultural Poetics and is studying contemporary literature and art there, such as circus studies and performance theories. In 2019-20 she lived in Niigata on the Sea of Japan, where she wrote a lot about movement in (nearly) foreign languages. Her poetry clip Shinano was premièred at the 2020 poesiefestival berlin, and, among other things, she has been invited to the Day of talents and the Meeting of Young Writers. Her texts have been performed as stage plays and published in such magazines as Mosaik and Wendepunkt.
