Josephine Bätz

Josephine Bätz was born in 1996. She took a degree in Film Studies in Berlin. She writes poetry, flash fiction and short prose in German and English. In 2016 she was invited to the Meeting of Young Writers. In 2017 and 2018 she was the annual prizewinner in the nationwide competition lyrix. In 2019 she was nominated for the next-generation scriptwriting prize at the German TV Crime Festival in Wiesbaden and student city writer in residence for Berlin. In 2020 she published a contribution in the young poems anthology for the 21st poesiefestival berlin. Her texts have been published in several English-language literary magazines (Josephine Quarterly, Stadtsprachen Magazin, Leopardskin & Limes).
